The manufacturer Acer unveils today its new products for the world of computing in 2020. In its family of machines, the manufacturer has a very special place for its gaming computers marketed under the Predator brand.  this is going to be the best laptop under 30000 We were able to discover the Predator Triton 300, a newcomer to the family.

A RELATIVELY SOBER DESIGN

If we put aside the Predator brand logo, the design of the machine is rather sober overall, and even a little goes everywhere. We are far from the more assumed gaming machines that often shine with a thousand LEDs.

We still have the right to an LED keyboard and a few more frank edges to stick with the "gaming" aesthetic given by the brand, without too many rounds in the forms. I noticed that the chassis was quite sensitive to fingerprints.Acer is focusing on the new 4th generation AeroBlade 3D ventilation system. You can find ventilation from all sides of the machine, and even under the chassis. During my short grip, the PC launched its ventilation even in relatively simple tasks, but it had the advantage of producing a serious sound and therefore not disturbing. A sound a little snoring in the background, much less annoying than an acute ventilation.

In terms of connectivity, Acer has once again chosen to combine the old and the new. Apart from the proprietary power supply on the back, we can mention the Mini DisplayPort (which we did not expect to see again in 2020), the HDMI port, a USB-A 3.0 port and a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port on the right, two USB-A 3.0 ports, an RJ45 Ethernet port and a 3.5mm jack port on the left. Nothing to say about this wide selection, except that we would like to see the USB-C generalize a little more, even to replace the DisplayPort which is starting to disappear.

UP TO THREE SSDS, GEFORCE MAX-Q AND INTEL 10TH GENERATION

To keep the 240 Hz of the 15.6 inch Full HD screen, Acer has integrated powerful components in its machine. The Predator Triton 300 therefore integrates 10th generation Intel Core-H processors, with an Nvidia GeForce 2070 Max-Q graphics chip for the best possible configuration. Above all, the PC can integrate up to three SSDs in M.2 format. It would be interesting to see if a RAID solution can be envisaged to improve storage performance. Acer has confirmed to me that most of the components, like the SSD or the RAM, are fairly easily accessible, even if it will require the use of a screwdriver, of course.

LAUNCH IN SEPTEMBER
Acer announces that the Predator Triton 300 will be available from September, for a price starting at 1,699 euros including tax.
